Bridgescape

This piece invokes various emotions, the red monochrome colors have a lighter mood in tone with the Golden Gate Bridge’s realistic colors and the blue a melodramatic mood on the apocalyptic, post-civilization landscape. The red piece has a calmer feel with the perspective of the bridge facing the natural hills and the blue piece possessing technical details and elements to show man’s self induced destruction. My greatest challenge with this piece was painting monochromatic layers with acrylic.
