Origami Line Weights

For this project I explored line weights. My process began by first folding origami paper to create the symmetrical 3D piece. My next step was to sketch the side elevations and top view on paper in proportion to each other, using different graphite weights for closer and further away dimensions. Finally, I diagramed the line weights using Rhino (Figure 1) and and mapped out the section cuts (Figure 2). I cleaned up and finalized the work using illustrator.
