Ukraine Two-piece

My idea for this piece was to create meaningful, powerful and politically and emotionally motivated imagery using printmaking techniques of spray painting over stencils. The concept of the 'two-piece' is to show the two main problems facing Ukrainian citizens, which include my direct family, being the urgency to become a NATO member and the worsening humanitarian crisis. The piece on the left is especially meaningful to me because my own sister recently became a war refugee. With inspiration from Michelangelo Buonarroti's "The Creation of Adam," created using printmaking techniques with spray paint, acrylics and paint markers.
